4-Year Degree Programme

            The candidate must possess five O/Level credits, which must include:

English Language, Physics or Mathematics in WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE O/Level/NABTEB and any three of the following subjects, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science, Economics and Geography at WASC?SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, obtained at not more than two sittings.

(b)       Direct Entry (DE)

3-Year Degree Programme

            Any of the following

  • GCE A/Level or its equivalent with passes in Physics and Mathematics.
  • HND in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any Computer related studies with lower credit from any recognised Polytechnic.
  • Diploma in Computer Education of UNN or National Diploma of any other recognized institution.
  • A minimum of pass in NCE Computer Education plus credit in Mathematics or Physics and Credit in English Language in WASC/GCE O/Level SSCE/NECO/NABTEB.

A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) of UNN or any other university recognized by UNN in any science discipline.



       Graduates of the degree programme in Computer Education will obtain employment in teaching in schools and colleges.

Jobs opportunities also exist in software development firms, industries, and other allied occupations/parastatals, hardware maintenance firms, information technology (IT) firms, and also graduates can be self-employed.
